ARISE, SHINE, FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME! (Isaiah 60:1) by Sandra Teplinsky

Wholehearted greetings of blessed shalom as we reflect on a transformative 2025 this Hanukkah – Christmas season. Every year, the truths celebrated at each of these two holidays seems to take on greater personal relevance and importance. We re-discover with new depth and breadth how we must lean into the faithfulness of our miracle working God, as did the Maccabees of old. Those ancient warrior-priests model for us the love-driven courage God is imparting to overcome intensifying evils of these pivotal last days. The Maccabees inspire us to contend joyfully by grace for Israel’s salvation, revival in the Church, and spread of the Gospel. Alongside Hanukkah, Christmas reminds us of the unparalleled gift of Messiah’s birth (whenever it actually occurred) as the overcoming Light of the World.

As we celebrate God through the holidays, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for your partnership in the ministry. Despite wars, terrors, traumas and antisemitism, it has been a year of profound impact. We have seen God move powerfully in the land.

This year-end letter offers a glimpse into what has been accomplished through your prayers, support, friendship—and God’s grace. We hope these highlights encourage and strengthen your faith as we press into 2026.

First, a brief word about the Israel-Hamas War.

As 2025 comes to a close, many ask whether or not Israel won its war with Hamas. In summary, the most accurate and honest answer at this time (December 8, 2025) is both yes, and no. To the extent that victory in war traditionally occurs when a nation surrenders to an enemy that has militarily overpowered it, Israel did not win the war. Hamas insists it will never surrender to Israel. Already, it is vigorously rebuilding military and ideological capacity to attack Jews around the world. Hamas boasts it won the war largely through media-driven lawfare, generating enough global hate for Israel and Jews that a Palestinian state is merely a matter of time.

Israel did, however, achieve its stated objective of freeing the hostages — in exchange for the release of thousands of unrepentant, convicted jihadi prisoners who say they plan to keep trying to kill Jews.

In addition, Israel has relinquished sovereign territory in the Negev to a foreign military presence, while acceding biblically stewarded land in Gaza (and possibly Judea and Samaria) to a future multi-national, Muslim influenced or dominant, governance. Israel continues battling prolonged psychological trauma. There is much internal strife over well-documented, ignored early warnings of the October 7, 2023 attack. At this writing, thousands of Israeli soldiers remain seriously wounded or maimed, suicides are on the uptick, and slightly more Jews have emigrated out from Israel to live in other nations since the war began, than have immigrated into Israel and made aliyah.

Thankfully, the war exposed deep state realities and high-level sabotage within Israel. It also inspired a significant turning to God by many.

It is much too early to fully evaluate the consequences of Israel’s war with Hamas, officially renamed the War of Redemption. But we pray the new name will prove prophetic of its ultimate outcome: Redemption.

INTERCESSORY AND DIPLOMACY MINISTRY

This year we continued leading in-person prayer watches for government leaders, spearheading video conference prayer for Jerusalem, and organizing prayer missions at spiritual stronghold locations in the land. As delegates to the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, an American Congressional intercessory tour to Israel, and other events, we met and prayed privately over and with government officials from different nations. We encouraged them to keep standing strong in their support for Israel and in serving as voices for truth.

Reshet Tefilah, which we launched 8 years ago, continues to serve as a unique prayer network unifying English speaking Israelis across the land. Throughout the year, we served on prophetic leadership teams for other indigenous, revival movements of Israeli believers, including Welcoming the King of Glory. We also served as prophetic advisors for intercessory teams from the nations on prayer journeys in Israel.

In October, we were honored to lead a large Yom Kippur intercessory worship service in Jerusalem. It was a special blessing to exalt the once-for-all atonement of Yeshua on that holiest of days. We worshiped deeply in His presence, repented of personal sin, and stood in the gap for the sins of our people. It was a somber yet joyfully rich experience in the Spirit.

In seeking to build up the Israeli Body of believers, we transitioned from the English speaking, mainly Gentile church we’d been attending (with the pastors’ full blessing) into a Hebrew speaking, indigenous Messianic congregation. There we are part of a home group of leaders and unofficial elders. It has been a joy to help build up younger, indigenous believers and minister prophetically in congregational meetings.

Prayer leaders and emerging church leaders from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa—as well as Israel—have asked us for mentoring and counsel as they mobilize pro-Israel support in their nations. Despite the tragedies of war and anti-Jewish hate, we are encouraged at these requests to equip Christians around the world in prayer.

TEACHING AND SPEAKING

Due to the impact of 2 years of war, we are able to talk more freely than ever about the God of Israel. Even more exciting is the mounting interest in, and surrender to, Yeshua. There is amazingly increasing acceptance of Messianic Jews at many levels. We have even been blessed with relationships with a few members of the Israeli Knesset. Please pray with us for their salvation and their capacity to stand strong for God’s purposes.

Representing Israel internationally continues to be a vital aspect of our work. Revival will not come to Israel without the prayers and support of the global remnant ekklesia (Romans 11:25-26). Due to skyrocketing antisemitism, our focus this year has been on exposing the deception of supersessionism (replacement theologies). We taught at online meetings, as podcast guests, at live international gatherings, and in partnerships with local congregations. Recordings of some of these teachings are available on our web site.

Throughout 2025, Sandra wrote articles and posts offering in-depth prophetic perspectives on what is taking place in and concerning Israel, the Church and the Jewish people. During the 12 Day Israel-Iran War, she wrote detailed, extensive prayer points every day, replete with Scriptures. Thankfully, her office is located in our safe room/bomb shelter. While Kerry and our cats ran in and out of her office at each of many sirens that wailed night and day, she locked into her Bible and keyboard, and kept typing, semi-oblivious.

About the publication of her updated book, Christian publishers have been telling us they are presently reluctant to release a book on Israel. We still hope to find a mainstream publisher, but are also prayerfully considering self-publishing. Thank you for keeping this matter in prayer.

We will be spending a protracted period of time in the US in 2026. Starting in January, we will be available to speak to churches and Christian groups about Israel – and especially, replacement theologies. We have been sharing an important and compelling message on how to debunk replacement theology (or supersessionism), as these often lead to Christian antisemitism. Keeping Yeshua at the center of our message, we have received very positive feedback on the message. If your congregation, Bible study or other organization is interested in hosting us in person or on Zoom, please contact us at [email protected].

MEDICAL, PRO-LIFE AND WAR RELIEF WORK

Kerry’s volunteer medical ministry expanded this year. He remains the recognized “go-to” consultant for Israeli believers and Christian tourists facing all manner of medical conditions, from life threatening cardiology episodes and cancer battles to the flu.

We were invited by survivors of the October 7, 2023 attack on Kibbutz Nachal Oz to visit that kibbutz and pray for the rebuilding of the community. The condition of the place was devastating, with the few residents who’d returned, clearly still traumatized. Please pray for the healing of these terror victims, as well as for our released hostages, injured soldiers, affected families; in short, an entire nation suffering from war weariness. Sandra has written many articles on the Israel-Hamas War, officially renamed Israel’s War of Redemption, available for reading on our web site.

Throughout the year we provided emergency relief for essential furniture and home appliances for Israelis whose homes were destroyed by the War of Redemption or missiles launched in the twelve day war with Iran. We donated aid for Israelis suffering from severe psychological distress. On Purim, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise funds in 2025 sufficient to spare the lives of four Israeli babies. These little ones would otherwise have been aborted by their parents. Every dollar we received for pro-life or war relief initiatives went directly to those in need.

A PERSONAL NOTE

If you have benefited from the ministry, or from our free books and articles, or if you support God’s purposes for the Jewish people, would you consider a tax deductible, year-end donation of any amount that would help enable us to continue the work? The cost of living in Jerusalem continues to increase dramatically, including the rent we pay for our home/office space.

We are so thankful for those of you who have co-labored with us not only financially, but in prayer and friendship. It is truly your partnership that makes the work possible. Together with you in grace and love, we look forward to being part of God’s unfolding story of redemption in 2026.

A Spirit filled Hanukkah and/or Christmas and New Year to each of you!
